If Only They Also Explain It…

Malachi 3:10 (NKJV)

10 Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” Says the LORD of hosts,… “ If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing,That there will not be room enough to receive it.”

If only when they quote it-they also explain its redemptive-historical context.

1. It was especially given to Levites and priest-not ordinary members.

2. The full tithe is not the tithe of the ordinary Israelites -bu thtose of the Levites.

3. The food is literally crops harvested and given to Levites.

4. The Temple is a building still standing that time.

5. It is to satisfy their need-not greed.

‎6. It is historically conditioned promise and command. Appropriating it for the NT times -it must pass thru the prism of the New Covenant and the Redemption brought by the Lord Jesus Christ.

‎7. The curse is also historically conditioned. It applies first to the priest and Levites-before it is before the ordinary Jews.

8. The curse must be also interpreted thru the prism of the New Covenant and the Redemption brought by the Lord Jesus Christ.

‎9. The Old Covenant must be sustained by the Temple Sacrifices.

10. The Temple must be manned by Levites and priests-who also needs sustainance and support.

11. Daily sacrifices is meant to cover sins of the Holy People

‎12. In AD 70-the firewood and crops and livestock were hijack and prevented by Zealots in-fighting.

13. This provoke the wrath of God -pending due to the crucifixion of the SOn of the Landowner. This culminated in the Fall of Jeruslaem and the burning of the Temple to the ground.

‎14. There is no more holy land-holy temple-from that time on.

15. Tithes are no longer required to support the Temple Sacrifices.

16. The Age of Messiah is an age of Missions or Kingdom expansion.

17. In this age -His kingdom will be supported freely by His people.It is not tax because His people are also his children. Th…ey are tax-exempted.

 ‎18. In this age-true worshippers-worship God in SPirit and in Truth. No longer through manmade temples nor fleshly and outward ceremonies. Returning back to that scheme of things is not being faithful-but being retrogressive and a misunderstanding of God’s purpose in history.

Not Going Down…Yet

Last Monday-i almost left the world i.e. I thought I was. I got a big headache and neck ache -and my blood pressure is around 170/110.

I experienced some anxiety attacks-and when it is late in the evening that I will be alone awake at night-I called my eldest -and my other children to plead to the Lord -for me-i experienced some respite. The Lord answered our prayers .

I was able to sleep off and on that night. The next day was still a struggle. My blood pressure was still high though. By afternoon-I was able to visit Dr Roman de leon Jr -a friend with Gideon’s -and he prescribed me Catapres. After 1 hour-I experienced relief in my head.

The next day I went to Sta Rosa Clinic -and was given Co-approvel as replacement of what I was taking before. I hope this will solve my BP problems.

Tithes:Mandatory or Voluntary?

Teachers and pastor who mixes grace and law -always end up with more law and not grace. Grace giving is NOT tenth percent plus more. It is no percentage. It is a response to actual needs of people in need, people who shared the Word. People who trave distances just to disciple others.

It is based on the need to help and support other Christians and workers in their plight and mission. It is not measured -or it will no longer be of grace. Jesus doesn’t need to give himself-but He did. His siblings )Christians) don’t need to give but gave anyway because of love for others.

Do you love someone because it is required from you? Then you probably don’t know love at all. If it is voluntary-then it is not mandatory. If it is mandatory-then how can it be voluntary? Like a toll fee-you may voluntary withheld the payment-but I am sure they will not let you leave the Expressway without the payment. SO it is mandatory. Now use that in church offerings and tithings. They may say it publicly that it is voluntary-buy they will also say that you are a robber if you withheld it. You will be also put into a curse of the devourer-and the blessings of heaven will not pour into you.

Others say it this way: Is tithing mandatory-they say “no”-you need to be a cheerful giver. Is the value 10 % mandatory-and they say “yes”. SO I am confused. Others say it is both voluntary-but to be sure- make it always 10% and above. Now I am more confused. They really need the money.

Some say yes to both questions-but they say they don’t enforced it. Who enforces it then? I think they would like God to do the enforcing. Maybe they should have asked the Lord Jesus first- if this is part of His covenant which he instituted in the Lord’s table and completed in his death and resurrection.

What is true giving? Grace giving? Not OT Laws .Not performance giving. But giving because you cannot stop laughing while givng. No need to show off but thanking the ONE who gave His life for you. You may consult http://www.generousgiving.com for a detailed view on this.

My question is if the old Armstrong Worldwide Church of God got it right on “Grace”-how come other Christians are not getting it? Is it because of unclear,unfocused thinking? Does not want to reach the true conclusion of their premises. This is really an assault to justification by grace.

They hid under blessings. Do you know that every Jubilee (every 49th year) in the OT times-Israelites are not required to tithe? Where in the NT have you heard someone preached about Jubilee?

The Biblical Jubilee. All lands return to original owners. The 50th year -no seeds are planted. The land is rested.

The answer: Jesus started his ministry with the Jubilee in mine when he preached in a synagogue at Luke 7. No crops-no tithes. Jubilee-means rest and freedom. Can you understand the implications of that ?
